Uit dit proces ontstaat een vezelmat die door een droogtunnel gevoerd wordt waar de binding tussen de houtvezels tot stand komt. De binding gebeurt door de natuurlijke kleefstoffen die in het hout zelf aanwezig zijn. Er worden geen lijmen, kunstmatige bindmiddelen (of formaldehyde)
